Set up originally as a showcase for videoclips from UKAlive, the annual get-together and poetry/prose/music event organised by the UKAuthors.com website, the channel now includes a lot of items that are more personal to me (such as the songs from Janis Ian and Emily Blunt).

Tadpole Lunchtime

My little babies are having their lunch. Today it's chicken breast fillet from Sainsburys. I'm very partial to chicken breast myself although I prefer mine cooked. Can anybody guess what it says on the front of my T shirt?

African clawed frogs (Xenopus laevis), albino
Просмотров 832 года назад
My little babies are growing up. About eight months old, they are now about the same size as an average local frog, 4 or 5 inches long including the hind legs, and very active and healthy looking. I'm hoping they will spawn soon. These frogs are almost completely aquatic, living in warm, stagnant pools and quiet streams, thriving at temperatures from 60 to 80 degrees Fahrenheit. Their natural h...

Planning the New Whipps Cross Hospital

A completely rebuilt Whipps Cross Hospital to be completed in or about 2027 has been promised to the people of north east London, but controversy rages about the repeated reductions in the investment that the government is willing to make in the project and repeated cuts in the servives that the projected new hospital will be able to provide. About 75% of the land making up the footprint of the...

African Clawed Frogs Having Their Breakfast
Просмотров 742 года назад
A follow-up report on the albino African Clawed Frogs (Xenopus laevis) that Jean gave me for my last birthday, 16th April 2021. About three months later they have settled in extremely well and are much bigger and eating as if there is no tomorrow. I need to reassure you that I am not starving them by any means, they just enjoy their food, as do I, and eat the way I do when nobody is watching. T...
Our Tadpoles Are Growing Up
Просмотров 133 года назад
These are the "rescue" tadpoles that we take in from the garden pond as spawn and keep them in the indoor tank until they are froglets and hence too big for the newts to in the pond to eat. They are from more than one batch of spawn, so developing at different rates. The little thing on a piece of thread that some of them are sucking and trying to eat is a strip from a lamb chop, which they lov...
Baby Tadpoles
Просмотров 223 года назад
Our frogs spawned early this year. In the last week we'ver had a total of about seven lumps of spawn in the garden pond. Every year I take some of the spawn indoors so that the tadpoles don't get eaten by the newts as soon as hey hatch out. I let them develop into froglets, feeding them on Aquarian Tropical Fish Food, and when they're too big to fit in a newt's hungry mouth return them to the p...

Ive never heard her sing. This hauntingly beautiful song. This song was mentioned in a comment i read while listening to Sir Elton John's song American Triangle. RIP Matthew Shepard! 🫂🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻😘🥺
In Korea, this song used as a CM song ruclips.net/video/L-BeZDjOrZ8/видео.htmlsi=L361CjzjFAEHT6cr
From her stunning “god & the fbi” album...
What a beautiful song 💖
That is one cautious frog! I was beginning to think that it suspected the bug was hiding a fish hook. Froggey is one very cool hunter.
i remember listening to this song in the summer of 69... the summer of love they called it.... until nixon cam,e in and resepect went out... nixon was the best da,mned pesident we ever had. AMEN, the LORD is your MAKER. praise. good muisicl like this will never happen again, olvia rodirog
Were you drunk? But real
everyone saying that this song makes them emotional, meanwhile for me it's just so calming.
That clip should be sent to the Anti British Broadcasting Company And to the house of commons
Pov:it's 2009 and your at your grandmas while it's a rainy day

Wow the struggle song from south africa they turn it into choir song I'm impressed.
Congratulations choir
Very good choir master my lady i respect you keep it up
This song makes me so horrifically sad 😭😭😭
I'm in tears. Michael Palin requested this today on Desert Island Discs. I have never heard it before. So incredibly moving.
Reminds me of a sunny saturday morning in late April while the breeze runs through your hair
She ain't Paul Newman.
I got into a bad car wreck and when I went to clean it out, the only thing salvageable was a little Virgin Mary I kept on my dash 😂 needless to say, this song makes me happy
A tuneful tribute to the idiocy of Christianity.
oh wow i heard this on the radio today & thought wow who is this, it's awesome...later same evening i find this on youtube purely by chance...life's great
Guitar playing by Tom Smith
Something is so nostalgic about this song even though I've never heard of it before..... it reminds me of my childhood.... like... sitting on the floor... playing dolls while Wow-Wow-Wubzy is playing in the background..... my mom in the kitchen cooking dinner... Wooden Bunk bed..... home sweet home...... LORD WHY AM I CRYING 😃
Im glad im not the only one who feels the same, its so nostalgic
Have you ever seen Cool Hand Luke
This song is so beautiful and prevalent today. I’m Christian myself, but so many people are plastic and hide behind their religion to make themselves look better and to get away with their evil actions.
whew this song makes me unreasonably emotional. her voice is so pretty, the music itself is so soft and almost feels like a hug. it carries the sound of riding with my nana to and from church as a little kid. this song feels like it truly embodies the feeling of being a child/young adult in the midwest.
Found my new favorite artist
This song brings back memories of being a kid visiting my family in the backwoods of Mississippi, I miss it.
One day I'll be gone and someone I know and love will have this pop up, then play this for what I hope is a memory of what once was.
everybody talking about this song being comforting makes me feel odd bc it makes me wildly uncomfortable but i gotta make characters so its on loop
I love this song but it seriously reminds me of growing up country, it makes me cry every time. Going to work with dad every day on a misty, humid day in a Tennessee valley, climbing on top of the house and just sitting there eating my cornbread brings back so many memories. I miss those days but I’m glad their over.
This song gives me vibes when I used to go to my grandpas ranch near the River feeding the horses and petting them while the mosquitoes bite you but you don’t care because you feel at comfort
Not sure why, but this song gives me a bunch of Nostalgia from when I was a kid,
😥
this song reminds me of my time living in north america, the rolling hills, the white mountains, the patches of middle of nowhere, a beautiful place to live, as well as an old time-ish house and a somewhat old tv. I FUCKING LOVE NEW ENGLAND
Plastic jesus didn’t save her i guess.
i’m totally not religious,, far from it actually,, but i love this. it gives me childhood nostalgia,, even tho i’ve never heard this song in my life,,,, <3
The song isnt religious either. Listen to the lyrics: im in the backseat sinning jesus back there grinning. Its all in good fun and humor
I don't think that the bobble head jesus is super religious either lol
I remember her first hit, "At 17", in 1975, which I believe hit #1 on top 40 radio, and I was taken by her talent. I'm about a year older than her, and I've followed her career. This song was never released as a single, but it is the most stunningly beautiful tune she has ever written and performed. I saw her live at the BlackRock Center for the Arts in Germantown, MD, just outside of DC around the year 2003 and she was just amazing as a soloist. I just recently told my daughter I want this song played at my funeral. The musician in me wants to take this song with me into eternity when the time comes.
This song is like going to my grandmothers house in October for fort days in Ligonier
don't care if it rains or freezes As long as I got my plastic Jesus Sittin' on the dashboard of my car Going 90, it ain't scary Cause I got the Virgin Mary Sittin' on the dashboard of my car I'm in the back seat sinnin' Jesus up there grinnin' Sittin' on the dashboard of my car Muni Long “Pain” (Live Performance) | Open Mic Muni Long “Pain” (Live Performance) | Open Mic Green, white, pink or yellow I don't care cause he's my fellow Sittin' on the dashboard of my car I don't care if it rains or freezes As long as I got my plastic Jesus Sittin' on the dashboard of my car Going 90, it ain't scary Cause I got the Virgin Mary Sittin' on the dashboard of my car I'm in the back seat sinnin' Jesus is up there grinnin' Sittin' on the dashboard of my car Green, white, pink or yellow I don't care cause he's my fellow Sittin' on the dashboard of my car

this fornat is wonderful for seeing and hearing an artist perform their work. very human and comforting. thank you Dale and David. I am a fan of this and hope many others are.
Very well done Professor Rose. Evocative, melancholy. And lovely cliffhanger haha. Translates well to video. Thank you.
